This post will explore what my thoughts are on running for Nominating Committee Member and how I plan to make a meaningful impact as we move into the next sororal year!
Embracing Leadership Opportunities
My time in the sorority has shown me the power of effective leadership in creating growth and connection within our sisterhood. By joining the committee, I hope to contribute to our chapter’s future direction, select influential leaders, and uphold our essential values. I want to support the Nominating Committee Chair in their efforts to identify and recommend notable people for roles within our chapter as well.
Having seen my daughter and niece through their time joining our organization, I understand the quality expected of our chapter. These experiences provided me with the skills needed to guide our chapter towards a more inclusive and proactive future. In my candidacy, I aim to encourage participation from all members.
What I Bring to the Nominating Committee
In this role, I will take on the responsibilities such as:
Helping to determine guidelines for the nomination process.
Supporting the disseminating of nomination information to the chapter.
Assisting with the written and verbal consent of each candidate.
Collaborating with other members for future role openings in the chapter.
Moving Forward Together
As I step into this new role within my sorority, I feel a strong sense of purpose and excitement. Running for the Nominating Committee Member is not just about my own hope; it is about creating a pathway for future leaders, building connections, and reinforcing our shared mission.
